"The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button"
is about a man (Brad Pitt) who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, "Benjamin Button," is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time. Da Vinci collected $758 million worldwide, but even Grazer says the movie moved a little slowly. Angels, by contrast, sprints from crypts, catacombs and cathedrals.

In adapting the hugely successful Da Vinci novel, "I think we may have been too reverential toward it," Grazer says. "We got all the facts of the book right, but the movie was a little long and stagey."

In Angels, "Langdon doesn't stop and give a speech," Grazer says. "When he speaks, he's in motion."

Harshest Critic States "Ledger's Joker Is Oscar Worthy"

27/06/08

One of the harshest critics in America has had the privelidge of an advanced screening of this summer's guaranteed money maker, "The Dark Knight". Rolling Stone's Peter Travers calls Ledger's portrayal of The Joker "mad-crazy-blazing brilliant." He goes on to write, "It's typical of Ledger's total commitment to films as diverse as "Brokeback Mountain" and "I'm Not There" that he does nothing out of vanity or the need to be liked. He goes onto comment that "Ledger's Joker has no gray areas - he's all rampaging id. He creates a Joker for the ages. If there's a movement to get him the first posthumous Oscar since the death of Peter Finch who won for 1976's Network, sign me up."  The Joker was last seen in the form of Hollywood Veteran Jack Nicholson in Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman", which arguably set a high standard for the villain, but if one thing is for sure, Ledger's Joker will indeed top that and set a new bar for any future incarnations of the character. "The Dark Knight" is released nationwide 25th July 2008.

Saw V Poster Revealed With Official Plot

28/06/08

Yes, today Lionsgate revealed the first teaser poster to this Octobers "Saw V". The poster like all "Saw" teaser posters has a rather weird-creepy theme to it. The official plot for the movie is as follows: Forensics expert Hoffman (Mandylor) goes on the hunt in order to protect the secret that he is the newest person to carry on Jigsaw's legacy. Rumours are that in this sequel we will find out what happens at the end of Saw III with Jeff and his daughter, but i guess only time will tell.

School Of Rock 2??

25/06/08

Mike White who wrote and starred as Ned Schneebly in 2003's Jack Black movie career launching movie "School of Rock", is said to of finished writing the sequel to his hit movie. It is unknown at this moment in time whether Jack Black is involved or will be, but i guess only time will tell. 21/06/08

The LA Times have reported that the latest movie in the "Spider-man" franchise is set for a May 2011 release, as with "The First Avenger: Captain American" and "Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part II". The screenplay is finished yet but the writer has assured Sony Pictures that the movie will be ready in 3 years. Neither Director Sam Raimi or star Tobey Maguire has signed on yet but the production will go on without them if they don't sign up. As it stands the rumoured villains are Lizard and Carnage but that's all fans speculation.

Mirrors Poster Up

20/06/0

When Kiefer Sutherland is finished with sniping Colin Farrell, being a vampire and saving the world, he is a security guard spooked by ghosts who use mirrors to kill you in terrifying ways. Sounds cool 'eh? That's all that has been released for the moment but a poster which looks pretty damn creepy. Can i say "The Grudge" anyone?

Bruce Willis Will Be Kane

04/06/08

Reports show that Bruce Willis is in negotions to play Kane in the movie apaptation of the video game "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men". Willis will play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with a schizophrenic killer named James Lynch. The duo is forced on a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip. The rumours around at the time were that Willis would play Kane and Billy Bob Thornton would play Lynch, well that's one down maybe the other will follow. "Kane & Lynch: Dead Men" is expected 2009.

Eddie Murphy In Beverly Hills Cop IV

29/05/08

Yes, that's right folks Murphy will return as Axel Foley in 2010. The legendary movies have grossed over 700million Worldwide and with this release expect to go over the billion spot. The theme "Axel F" will also reprise (no not the stupidly annoying crazy frog version, which quite frankly killed and buried the song) and will most likely be used heavily, but who cares as this will most likely be the vehicle that drives Murphy back to his Adult, unecessary swearing comedy, which is a sigh of relief *cough* Haunted Mansion. Yes the times have been hard recently on Murphy with the shit movies and baby drama but with this summers "Meet Dave" will hopefully be the turning point for the once famed "Nutty Professor" star. It is unkown at this time whether Judge Reinhold will reprise his role as Billy but it would be a great reunion if he sticked to his original portrayal of the character not the over the top "Holy smokes Batman" persona. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce. Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the original "Beverly Hills Cop" trilogy with late partner Don Simpson, won't be actively involved in the new film.

A writer will be hired shortly.

Little Fockers 2009

27/05/08

"Little Fockers" is the 3rd installment of the Meet The Parents/Fockers movies, headed my Robert De Niro & Ben Stiller. It was announced the other day that the movie WILL definitely be made despite rumours that it will not. Jay Roach is set to return to direct this version. According to Variety, hope is to bring back not only Ben Stiller, De Niro, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner, but also Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. Larry Stuckey has been hired to write the script; no specific release date has been scheduled for Little Fockers but sources state that 2009 is most likely.

Downey Jr is Hugh Hefner

25/05/08

It seems since the blockbuster that was "Iron Man", Mr Downey Jr has been in everything and quite surprisingly been fantastic in all of them. Now following his success, if my sources are correct, then Downey Jr is set to portray tit man himself, Hugh Hefner, with Hefners approval. The biopic, tentatively titled "PLAYBOY", would focus on the early years of the wonderful magazine that made many boys into men, and women into sex objects. Even though the news seems to be legit, it does strike me a bit odd with Downey Jr's busy schedule that he would accept the offer but who knows what's going through guys head. Braian Grazer is said to helm the project.
