Football Season O8/O9
To all football fans and pundits out there i hope your geared up for another exciting season in the premier league, with so many crucial transfer deals having been made and some not being made im sure we will all be excited to see how this effects certain teams finishing places next season. With manchester United being there as favourites to win the league im sure the other big boys up there will want to go against the odds. The site will be constantly updated bringing you results the the premier leagues major games and you can share your opinions with others on our forum.
Red Devils Do The Double!
Alex Ferguson is arguably the best manager to come to the premiership ever, well so far anyway. The Man United boss lifted the clubs second european title under his reign. Cristiano ronaldo broke the dead lock for united with a powerful header that left Cech motionless. However later on in the second half Lampard equalised to put chelsea back on level terms. The game was end to end from that point onwards, however, even with extra time the teams could not be seperated and it went to penalties. A lot of drama overwhelmed fans and players a like as Cech saved from a ronaldo spot kick but John Terry hit the post with the final penalty which would have gave chelsea the trophy. The penalties went into sudden death with Anelka missing for Chelsea to rue another chance of silver ware.
The Red Devils lift there Tenth Title!

Whilst at the bottom of table one manager saved his team at the other end Sir Alex ferguson put the tenth trophy under uniteds belt where united were 2 - 0 winners at the JJB. Steve Bruces side were resiliant for the first 30 minutes until on the 33rd minute Ronaldo broke the deadlock with a cool goal from the penalty spot. Ryan Giggs came on to mark a joint record of 758 appearances for the club equal to that of Sir Bobby Charlton, Giggs chose to celebrate this by scoring an a clever finish on the 80th minute to secure manchester united as champions!
Chelsea however, took on bolton who were playing for there pride down at Stamford bridge, it took Chelsea 62 minutes for chelsea to find the net with an Andriy Shevchenko strike to give them a 1 - 0 lead. However in the dying seconds of the game matt taylor gave bolton a late equaliser which meant the the Barclays crown stayed at Old Trafford. Celebrations will be going on all through the night down in manchester but Dont get carried away lads. Avram hasnt forgotten about the champions league just yet.
Fulham Emerge Top Dogs.

Yes Fates were sealed today and its Roy Hodgsons Fulham side who will be playing premier league football next year. Even though the other teams down at the bottom did their job Fulham made sure they did theres also but as they say the premier league doesnt lie. Now Im sure im not the only Blues fan who will be feeling a bit gutted that we've been relegated after seeing us give Blackburn rovers a good 4 - 1 stuffing but it just wasnt meant to be. The blues put in a valiant performance against rovers with every player giving their all. Goalscorers were:
David murphy Morten Gamst pederson
Cameron jerome (2)
Fabrice muamba
Although the blues will still be pouring salt on the wounds i think its going to be reading who will feel the most harshly done by winning away at pride park 4 - 0 until an away goal for Fulham in the last 10 minutes at Fratton park secured Fulham a 1 - 0 win which secured them saftey. Derby Vs Reading Goalscorers as follows:

Danny Murphys 76th minute header was the only goal which was enough to secure safety for Fulham after a stunning turn around in the premier league.
Relegation Rumble!
Although we may have excitement at the top of the table things are also very heated down at the bottom, where this weekend will decide which team has what it takes to remain in the league. Next year only 1 team out of the 3 will be in the prem but which one will find salvation. Fulham who have done wonders to fight back into a safe position take on pompey who have already stated that they will be playing a full strength team, so Fulham aren't there yet. Then theres Reading who have been in poor form of late just mananging to take a point from tottenham last weekend take on derby who of course have nothing to play for, but will the nerves get the reading? And finally the blues take on blackburn rovers at home and for the last game all the can do is win there own match otherwise there fate is out of there hands. This is going to be one to tune in for.
Battle for the title!
As it comes down to the last weekend in the premier league, this seasons finishing positions for hopeful teams will be decided. At one end two titans in the football league play there last games on level points. As The Red Devils travel To the JJB stadium to face a wigan side who could be looking at as possible 12th position under steve bruces first season as manager, im sure he wont be doing his old boss any favours. Then theres chelsea who are at home to a recently relgation safe bolton side who im sure will relishing a chance to end the season on a high by taking something at chelsea. With these to games in mind for the final weekend of the prem its geared up for a season to remember.
All Square at Nou Camp As Ronaldo Misses Spot Kick

Final whistle and all square at Nou camp with Barcelona unable to put their home advantage into use and Ronaldo unable to secure a vital away goal for Manchester united this leaves the next tie at Old trafford open for interpretation. The game showed a bit of nerves on both sides neither wanting to concede a goal, few attacks were made but amounted to nothing. Man u need to make sure that they go home and finish the job against Barcelona to Secure the spot of another english club.
Own Goal Disaster for Liverpool Secures Chelsea An Away Goal

John Arne Riise will be waking up today hoping that last night was just a dream but sorry John im afraid not. Liverpool were on their way to a well deserved home win against chelsea after a hard fought contest between the two teams. However that hope was cut short with in the 5th minute of extra time after only an allocated amount of 4 ( well done ref ) Salomon Kalou crossed a ball into the Liverpool box and Riise attempted to clear with his head but unfortunatly it didnt quite go to plan, but hey on the positive side it was a great goal just the wrong end. Liverpool now travel to Stamford bridge where they will be playing a confident Chelsea im sure this will be one to tune in for.
Aston Villa hammer the Blues

The 106th derby in the prem between these to teams with one hoping to gain europe the other hoping to avoid relegation. The blues had to suffer a huge 5 - 1 defeat to aston villa in a game which showed the the gap of quality between the two teams. Aston villa put in a good performance as Birmingham fell short in every department. For league standings See barclays premier league page link below.
Football headline of the week: The Blues vs The Villa
Birmingham city and Aston Villa, yes its here once again and Sunday the 20th of April 2008 marks another entertaining derby in the the prem between two local west midlands teams. The game will be at Villa park and it only leaves you thinking will there be a twist in the tale. Despite the two teams being to different ends of the table theres never a certainty as to what the result will be with a battling Birmingham and a Villa side with hopes of europe this promises to be another great derby.
As a Bluenose myself its easy to see how important this game is to the team and the fans and for tommorows game come on you blue boys!
